A Screaming Deal

This month, the liquor stores have one of my favorite wines on sale. You can get a bottle of Silver Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon for $6.99. That $5 bucks off the regular price! Go get yourself a case of this stuff. You won't regret it, I promise.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to go get a few bottles. Can't beat the price. How are things?

Things are great. Enjoying the butchering so it seems? :)

I'm not going to lie and say I don't like surgery. 'Butchering'... if by butchering you mean saving people from chronic long standing infections that won't heal and will kill them, why yes, I am a butcher.

Oh Andrew, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. It is just somewhat shocking to us non-medical types to wrap our brains around being excited about cutting someone's leg off. It is easy to get caught up in the emotional repercussions for the patient and to lose sight of the fact that it is a life-saving surgery.

Not offended, don't worry. I'm pretty damn near impossible to offend. Part of doing this kind of stuff is being able to compartmentalize those feelings and focus on the procedure. You can't forget that this is a person, but you have to remember that you are doing what's best for them. This dude wanted it off; it wasn't healing and he was in a wheelchair all the time because his other leg was already gone.

Although it's kind of grizzly the actual procedure is pretty cool.
